What You'll Do

As a Wastewater Operator, you will help ensure the safe and efficient operation of treatment facilities by:

• Operating pumps, motors, valves, belt presses, disinfection systems, and other treatment equipment
• Monitoring treatment processes and conducting routine testing to maintain regulatory compliance
• Inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting facility equipment and machinery
• Recording daily operational data including flows, chemical usage, maintenance activities, and treatment results
• Responding to equipment malfunctions and emergency call-outs, including after-hours service when needed
• Assisting with electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and process control systems
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and secure treatment facility
• Communicating with customers and clients regarding routine operational matters
• Supporting scheduled and preventive maintenance activities
• Participating in rotating on-call responsibilities and working weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts as required
• What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in wastewater operations
• Valid driver's license
• Class 3 Wastewater Operator License or higher required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating wastewater treatment equipment
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance systems
