What you will do
- Disassemble, position, reassemble, test, and paint moderate to highly complex engine and compressor equipment
- Use a wide range of mechanical tools and equipment safely and accurately
- Set up and run test operations following engineering specifications
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance and repairs
- Conduct risk assessments before starting work and moving materials
- Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, and report problems or hazardous conditions right away
- Keep your work area and the facility’s equipment and tooling clean, organized, operational, and safe
- Complete required documentation and business training accurately and on time
- Work closely with your team and take on additional duties as assigned
Who you are
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0–2 years of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly, or heavy equipment repair and maintenance
- Able to read and interpret drawings, prints, schematics, and engineering specifications
- Basic math skills, and familiarity with tools and equipment operation
- Working knowledge of safety regulations and good housekeeping practices
- Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, and perform other physical tasks
- Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
- Valid driver’s license
- A team player with mechanical aptitude and attention to detail who can work independently to engineering specifications
Preferred
- 2 years of experience in operations or service center applications
- Strong knowledge of natural gas engine and compressor equipment
