Job Description

Utility Technician

Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and working with your hands? Join our team as a Utility Technician and help maintain the water, wastewater, drainage systems, facilities, and grounds that support our community.
What You'll Do
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on water, wastewater, and drainage facilities.
  • Complete routine inspections and assist with repairs.
  • Maintain grounds through landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, weed control, and general lawn care.
  • Perform facility maintenance, including painting, pressure washing, cleaning, and minor building repairs.
  • Assist with excavation, shoveling, and site cleanup.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to safely use tools and equipment, including jackhammers and concrete saws.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and around water and wastewater facilities.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift 50-80 pounds.
  • Walk, climb, bend, and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Access confined spaces and use ladders when needed.
