As a Data Category Manager, you will lead global sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations for critical data assets, software licensing, and cloud infrastructure services. You will partner with cross-functional leadership worldwide to mitigate risk, drive bottom-line savings, and deliver high-impact commercial agreements that support our long-term strategic growth.

What you'll do - Oversee new data and related software contract negotiation and renewal processes globally while leveraging total spend to maximize value and bottom-line savings.
- Partner with Senior Management, Technical Staff, and cross-functional teams (Program Management, Finance, Legal, Security, Architecture, Tax) worldwide to clarify use cases and negotiate long-term, high-risk strategic agreements.
- Partner with Technology and business unit leaders to source data for resale or integration into Equifax products
- Monitor market and competitor dynamics, collaborating with Product Managers and Sales Leaders to build and execute high-margin negotiation strategies.
- Negotiate complex data and software licensing agreements to enable data resale, distribution, partnerships (revenue share, royalties), and exchanges globally.
- Lead cross-functional alignment across Legal, Security, Privacy, and Product Management to evaluate FCRA & Non-FCRA use cases and data licensing structures.
- Drive global vendor governance, supplier diversity initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies across third-party technology and data providers.
What experience you need - 7+ years of direct business experience in software licensing, and strategic contract negotiation.
- 4+ year of experience in data acquisition negotiation & execution.
- 5+ years of experience structuring and negotiating SaaS and PaaS, agreements.
- Strong foundational knowledge of contract law and data licensing models.
- Working knowledge of application interfaces, technology architecture, and enterprise cloud infrastructure.
