Gas Technician or Technician in Training to help operate and maintain the municipal natural gas system in Tifton, GA.
This is a great opportunity for candidates with experience in HVAC, plumbing, utilities, construction, mechanical systems, or customer service who enjoy working outdoors and solving problems.
What You'll Do - Locate and mark natural gas lines.
- Perform leak checks and basic system inspections.
- Assist with gas service installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Read meters and support service turn-ons and shut-offs.
- Complete maintenance records and service documentation.
- Support traffic control, site maintenance, and safety initiatives.
What We're Looking For - High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Mechanical, utility, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical experience preferred.
- Utility locating experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to safety.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
