Production Planner I

Job Description

As an ISC Production Planner I here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing supply chain projects with a focus on integrated supply chain processes. You will be responsible for coordinating project activities, ensuring timely delivery, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.

You will report directly to our Sr. Materials Manager and you’ll work out of our Clearwater, FL location, on an on-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the organization by driving the successful execution of material management changes and the improvement of operational performance, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Your efforts will contribute to the overall supply chain strategy and help position Honeywell as a leader in supply chain innovation and excellence.


Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in reviewing, updating, and maintaining production schedules based on material availability, capacity, and priority requirements.
  • Create, release, and maintain work orders in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, PeopleSoft).
  • Monitor material status and collaborate with Procurement and Materials Management to ensure components arrive on time for production.
  • Support daily tier meetings by preparing updates on shortages, work order status, and schedule risks.
  • Identify and escalate constraints affecting production (shortages, quality holds, engineering changes, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate system data—including dates, quantities, and workflow status—to ensure schedule visibility.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional partners to resolve issues impacting manufacturing flow.
  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives through material tracking, reconciliation, and transactional discipline.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in planning processes, communication flow, and material control.


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 1+ year experience in a manufacturing or supply chain support role (materials, inventory, logistics, workflow specialist, production, or warehouse experience considered).
  • Working knowledge of production workflows and basic material planning concepts.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, PeopleSoft, or similar).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate data.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in inventory control or material coordination.
  • Foundational understanding of procurement, logistics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to learn quickly and grow into advanced planning responsibilities.
  • APICS/CPIM coursework or certification (a plus).
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and willingness to drive continuous improvement.
