Supply Chain Operations Manager - CNC Machine Shop

Job Description

As a Senior Integrated Supply Chain Operations Manager for Machine shop at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in strategizing and leading our end-to-end supply chain processes. You will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the integration of various supply chain functions, from procurement and production to distribution and logistics.

You will report directly to our Sr. Plant Director and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA location on a On-site work schedule.

Your decisions and strategies will directly influence the efficiency of production and delivery of products, ultimately driving the success of the company. By optimizing processes and making strategic decisions, you enhance efficiency, cut costs, and align strategies with business goals. Your focus on risk mitigation and technology integration ensures a resilient and competitive edge.

Drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, ensure compliance with safety standards, and optimize workflows across CNC mills, lathes, and grinding equipment to deliver precision parts on time.


Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage Operations for Machine shop.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Plan and prioritize work schedules, manage capacity, and track KPIs (scrap, rework, and OEE) to meet delivery deadlines
  • Guide CNC programmers and machinists through complex setups, part routing, and tool path optimization
  • Ensure all manufactured components meet strict tolerance specifications and quality standards (e.g., AS9100 or ISO 9001).


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 10+ years of experience on Machine shop. 5+ on hands on and 5+ in managing.
  • Experience providing guidance and coaching to direct and/or indirect reports
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies in supply chain management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, business or a related field
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving results
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset and a passion for driving change
