Job Description:Mars Wrigley - TNN SiteChattanooga, TN Maintenance Calibration/Monitoring Technician- 8 Hour Day ShiftJob Purpose:The Maintenance Calibration Technician is responsible for managing site calibration program in accordance with Q&FS standards. This includes conducting internal calibration, planning and scheduling external calibrations, repairing/replacing equipment as necessary to correct deficiencies, and maintaining documentation for calibration audit. Additional responsibilities includer troubleshooting various competencies including Pneumatic, Basic Hydraulic, AC/DC Electrical Systems, Automation (PLC and Instrumentation), Automation, Machining, and Mechanical Systems on all Process, Packaging, and Facilities Equipment with minimal guidance. As a Team, properly maintain and repair equipment in a fast paced, high production work environment, while prioritizing multiple mechanical/electrical and administrative tasks.
What are we looking for? Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Relevant Technical Degree/Relevant Trade Certification OR 2+ years of work experience related to industrial maintenance.
- Previous experience/knowledge with measuring and calibration of equipment.
- Possess an understanding of Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Schematics and/or Mechanical Drawings in order to solve problems with equipment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs.
- Willingness to develop required technical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Industrial Maintenance/Technology.
- Technical/Trade Certification in: Certified Calibration Services, Advanced Machinist Skills, fabrication and/or blueprint interpretation.
- Understanding of AC/DC Electrical (up to 480VAC 3 Phase), Hydraulic and Pneumatic Schematics and Mechanical Drawings.
- PLC/Instrumentation troubleshooting skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.)
- Frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.)
- Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.
- Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
- Ability to work in varies manufacturing environments and non-temperature-controlled rooms.
What will be your key responsibilities? - Understand and implement calibration on defined instrumentation (Probes, Scales, Load Cells, etc).
- Capable of troubleshooting, repairing and overhauling equipment within close tolerances.
- Schedule and monitor contracted calibrations.
- Perform routine electrical and mechanical problem-solving on relevant equipment.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM's) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) on equipment with minimal guidance.
- Document Work Orders (WO) using Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP-PPM Plant Maintenance).
- Demonstrate Engagement in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Theory and Concepts through participation in Pillar Teams, training fellow Technicians/Operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities to include conducting Breakdown Analysis (BDA's).
- Understand and adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) Procedures, Confined Space Procedures and all other Plant Safety/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements related to supporting machinery uptime.
