Community Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our multifamily property located in Kent, WA. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of property management, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to tenants. This role requires effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in property management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
  • Oversite of vendors while on site.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with maintenance standards.
  • Handle tenant inquiries and resolve issues promptly while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing ones.
  • Maintain accurate records of leases, and tenant communications.
  • Manage maintenance staff to coordinate repairs and upkeep of properties.
  • Enforcing lease agreements, including issuing of all management letters and legal notices.
  • Responsible for conducting regular property tours and inspections.
  • Respond to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in property management.
  • Experience with property leasing processes and sales techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with tenants and vendors.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management with a focus on multifamily property management.
  • Familiarity with Appfolio software
  • Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law.
  • Strong understanding of property leasing processes and sales techniques to attract and retain tenants.
  • Experience with legal administrative procedures related to contracts, evictions, and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, filing, and record-keeping tasks.
  • Ability to manage conflict effectively while maintaining professionalism in challenging situations.
  • Office experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent tools; office etiquette is essential.
  • Strong customer service skills combined with negotiation abilities for upselling opportunities.
  • Facilities management knowledge including basic property maintenance coordination.
