During the internship, you will be exposed to the day-to-day responsibilities of an apartment maintenance team and learn how maintenance professionals keep an apartment community operating safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Learn
Interns may gain hands-on exposure to:
* Apartment maintenance and preventative maintenance
* Basic plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
* Basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting
* HVAC systems and basic troubleshooting
* Appliance maintenance and repair
* Drywall repair, painting, and basic carpentry
* Apartment turns and preparing apartments for new residents
* Responding to resident maintenance requests
* Work orders and maintenance documentation
* Preventative maintenance inspections
* Common-area and building maintenance
* Safe use of maintenance tools and equipment
* Workplace safety and proper maintenance procedures
* Working as part of a professional apartment maintenance team
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for individuals who are:
* Interested in pursuing a career in apartment maintenance, skilled trades, facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related field
* Eager to learn and develop hands-on skills
* Dependable, responsible, and willing to work as part of a team
* Comfortable working with tools and learning new equipment
* Able to communicate professionally with residents and coworkers
* Safety-conscious and willing to follow established procedures
* Motivated to gain real-world experience in the skilled trades
*Previous apartment maintenance experience is not required.* This internship is designed to provide practical exposure and help individuals develop the foundational skills needed to pursue a career in maintenance.

The internship will run *from October through mid-November 2026*, with *flexible dates and scheduling* based on the intern's availability and the needs of the community.
