Summary As an Experienced Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of American Fan's manufacturing processes by maintaining and troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Optional HVAC experience is valued but not mandatory.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities - Provide daily hands-on working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support existing business processes for American Fan.
- Support and follow company safety programs and quality environmental programs.
- Coordinates equipment shutdown for major maintenance.
- Troubleshoots maintenance problems and determines when to call for outside repairs.
- Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and make necessary repairs on plant equipment.
- Follow prints, sketches, and schematics to assist in the installation of newer, rebuilt equipment.
- Assist in the tear down and overhaul of equipment components such as, but not limited to pumps, valves, regulators, and motors.
- Complete required reports and other documentation on assigned work and/or inspections.
- Exercise understanding of mechanical components and how they work in conjunction with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.
- Adhere to standardized processes and procedures and maintain reports as required.
- Maintain highest ethical behavior while following American Fan procedures, policies, work instructions and safety guidelines.
- All other work deemed necessary by supervisor.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical maintenance preferred.
- 3 to 5 years in maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing facility
- Excellent working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Must be a self-starter who works with minimal supervision and is able to direct others.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Must have a good understanding of what is required to support the production function in a Manufacturing environment.
- Must be well-organized and able to coordinate multiple tasks.
Desirable - Rotating and/or gas and air handling equipment experience.
- Experience with servicing highly engineered equipment and products.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products, Word & Excel
