Technician – PART-TIME - Pittsburgh International Airport

$17.50 / hour

In addition, this position is eligible for $5 a month paid for monthly cellular phone allowance

Weekends are required as needed

BASIC FUNCTION

Maintain fleet of wheelchairs at designated location(s).  Perform inspections, maintain inventory of parts, and equipment to meet customer/client needs.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Routine preventative maintenance & inspection equipment
  • Maintenance & Inspection of Wheelchair Fleet
  • Periodic Inventorying of Fleet
  • Installation of new or replacement equipment as needed.
  • Managing Positive Customer Relations
  • Timely reporting; timesheet & maintenance Log, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Basic understanding and working knowledge of common hand tools.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
  • Mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Knowledge of manual wheelchairs preferred, but not required.
  • Company hand tools will be provided.

EDUCATION 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates or Technical degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • Ability to get Airport Badge is required.

 

PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Walk and stand for duration of shift
  • Bend and stoop regularly
