GENERAL SUMMARY

 

The Operations Liaison Officer serves as a key point of coordination between Deposit Operations, branch network teams, internal business units, and external service providers. This role supports operational efficiency, issue resolution, procedure consistency, regulatory compliance, and timely communication across departments. The position requires strong banking operations knowledge, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality internal service.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Serves as a liaison between Deposit Operations and branch or business unit personnel to resolve operational inquiries, escalations and service issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provides guidance on deposit operations processes, account maintenance, transaction processing, exception handling, and internal procedures.
  • Research and resolve operational discrepancies, including account maintenance issues, transaction exceptions, documentation concerns, and processing errors
  • Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Audit, legal, Information Technology, and other internal partners to support accurate and compliant operational practices.
  • Assist with the review, development, and maintenance of departmental procedures, job aids, checklists, and communication materials.
  • Support implementation of new products, systems, regulatory changes and process improvement initiatives impacting Deposit Operations and Branch Operations.
  • Monitor service requests, track issue resolution, identify recurring trends, and recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce risks.
  • Assist with internal audits, regulatory examinations, quality control reviews, and management reporting by gathering documentation and supporting timely responses.
  • Provide training support and operations guidance to branch and department staff on policies, procedures, systems and workflow expectations.
  • Assists with vendor coordination affecting branch operations and services.
  • Assists with tracking and maintaining branch and department data activity reporting.
  • Performs other assignments as deemed necessary by the Bank.

     

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Education:   College degree in Finance/Business preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum 3- 5 + years’ branch operations experience required. Previous experience as Operations Officer in a retail branch setting.  Good understanding of overall banking regulations and standard practice with thorough knowledge of CIP requirements for both business and consumer accounts.
  • Skills/Ability: PC proficiency including Excel, and Word. Proficiency in FIS/IBS, and Ncino.
  • Detail oriented, strong communication skills both verbal and written, and ability to function in a team environment or work independently, display initiative, be self-motivated and adapt well to a changing environment. Bilingual (English and Mandarin or Cantonese) a plus.

OTHER DETAILS

$67,000-76,000/year

Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
