Liquid Environmental Solutions is seeking a Boiler Operator to join our team!
FULL TIME OPENING
Pay range: $40/hr Grade 2 | $42/hr Grade 1 License
Shifts Starts: 6am to 3pm
THIS POSITION ABSOLUTELY REQUIRES AT LEAST A "GRADE 2 CITY OF HOUSTON BOILERS LICENSE"
Location: 250 Gelhorn Dr, Houston, TX 77013
Essential Functions:
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts and lubricates and cleans parts as needed in accordance with food/beverage manufacturing quality system practices.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices and starts devices to test their performance.
- Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and uses intuition and experience to complement data.
- Performs Preventative Maintenance on equipment.
- Able to understand P.L.C.
- Must have basic (at minimum) knowledge of electricity and welding.
- Able to read and interpret written information and able to write clearly and informatively.
- Ability to troubleshoot all equipment and adjust palletizing equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Stationary Engineer certification Grade 2 REQUIRED, Grade 1 preferred.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Preventative Maintenance software. PLC experience a plus.
