Payroll Benefits Coordinator Opportunity at Washington Healthcare

Previous payroll, benefits administration, or administrative office experience strongly preferred
The Payroll Benefits Coordinator is responsible for processing payroll, coordinating employee onboarding, maintaining employee records, conducting personnel file audits, completing employment verifications, and serving as a resource for employees regarding payroll and benefits. This position requires exceptional organization, professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail while supporting the daily administrative operations of the facility.
Skills Needed:
  • Payroll Administration: Knowledge of payroll processes, payroll systems, and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Administrative and Office Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other computer systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Employee Support: Professional communication skills with the ability to assist employees with payroll, benefits, onboarding, and employment-related questions while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain personnel files, complete file audits, process employment verifications, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Professionalism: Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and represent the facility in a professional manner.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with facility leadership while providing exceptional administrative support.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Previous payroll, benefits administration, or administrative office experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Kronos payroll and UKG Pro preferred.
  • Experience with employee onboarding, employment verifications, personnel file maintenance, and file audits preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements preferred.
