The overall purpose of this position is to support the IEEE Communications Society’s (ComSoc) Marketing team. The incumbent is expected to have strong organizational skills, be able to meet tight deadlines, and work independently.
A positive attitude and professional demeanor are critical to this role as there is frequent interaction with volunteers, members, ComSoc office staff, and other IEEE organizations. The role reports to the Director of Marketing & Membership and does not manage any direct reports.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Administrative and coordination support of day-to-day marketing functions including communication calendar updates and reporting, email setup, organic and paid social media posting, and data reports as requested by the team.
Support of social media content development and scheduling
Coordination and assistance with website updates
Interaction with stakeholders to coordinate marketing content for promotional use
Other administrative support for the marketing team as assigned.
