Human Resources Manager

Location: Union, Missouri
Facilities Supported: Union, MO Manufacturing & Distribution Center; Osage, IA Manufacturing Facility
Travel: Up to 20%
Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Human Resources Manager to support our manufacturing and distribution operations in Union, MO, as well as our manufacturing facility in Osage, IA. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day HR functions, driving employee relations initiatives, ensuring compliance, and supporting a positive, productive work environment across both locations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for plant leadership and employees across both sites
  • Manage employee relations, including coaching, investigations, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts for hourly and salaried employees
  • Lead performance management and employee development initiatives
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational needs
  • Oversee HR programs including attendance, leaves of absence, and benefits administration
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting metrics
  • Travel up to 20% to support the Osage, IA facility and business needs
  • Promote a culture of safety, engagement, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or operations environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Proven experience handling employee relations and workplace investigations
  • Ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience supporting multi-site and/or multi-shift operations
