Job Summary The Clinical Laboratory at UK Healthcare is seeking an experienced laboratory technologist to serve as the Laboratory Lead. This position provides leadership and oversight for point-of-care testing across a diverse network of ambulatory clinics, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while supporting high-quality patient care. The Laboratory Lead serves as a key resource for clinic teams and healthcare providers by managing quality and compliance initiatives, coordinating staff training, competency assessments, participating in new test development and implementation, monitoring and maintaining interface systems, and overseeing daily operational activities related to point-of-care testing. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong technical expertise, excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position reports to the Ambulatory Point of Care Supervisor, Laboratory Section Manager, and the Laboratory Section Director. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities MS Excel, word, knowledge of CAP and TJC compliance and OIG regulations. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience MT or MLS certified (ASCP) and two years of laboratory experience preferred.
