The Respiratory Therapist Senior provides competent care of patients through airway management, various CPAP / BIPAP therapies, oxygen administration, and performing polysomnography studies in accordance with The Joint Commission ( TJC ) and departmental policies and procedures. General duties will include: registering patients; gathering patient pre-study paperwork; preparing patients and equipment for procedures; explaining procedures and interactions to patients; completing follow-up notes as needed; performing polysomnography studies and analyzing data to assist in obtaining proper diagnosis; entering charges; and cleaning all study equipment. This position will also have some administrative and clerical responsibilities for the department’s daily operations. The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $30.00/hour. All pay rates will be based on the candidate’s experience.

The Medicine Acute care area provides acute, comprehensive inpatient care for patients suffering from a variety of medical diseases and surgical complications. Patient conditions include diabetes, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, wound care, and surgical cases (both pre and post operation). This team is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of multiple medical and surgical disease complications.The LPN is a member of the multidisciplinary ambulatory team who is responsible for patient care, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes. The University of Kentucky Healthcare ( UKHC ) Enterprise is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist. The Behavioral Health Specialist will support the care of adult and pediatric patients on medical surgical units who have psychiatric, behavioral, and/ or substance use issues. The respiratory technician II will have succesfully completed the first two semesters of an accredited respiratory therapy program and will have obtained a student license from the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care. The respiratory technician II will be primarily be assigned shifts performing direct patient care for those therapies and patient care activities that are in the scope of student licensure per the KBRC . They may also at times be assigned shifts performing EKGs in the ED or supporting equipment needs for the respiratory services department. The respiratory technician II will also support equipment cleaning and reprocessing as well as cylinder storage rounds as needed during a shift.

The Patient Clerical Assistant’s primary responsibility is to support patient care delivery by processing physician orders, maintaining patient records, managing patient information, and providing customer service. This involves working independently, acting as a communications liaison for patients, visitors, and all service departments involved in the care of the patient, as well as processing all requests/orders for patient care by fax/phone/computer/intercom and imprinters.
