Wastewater Operator (All Levels)

We're seeking a Wastewater Operator to help operate and maintain essential treatment facilities that protect public health and the environment. Whether you're experienced or looking to grow into the field, this is a great opportunity to build a long-term career in a stable and impactful industry.

What You'll Do

As a Wastewater Operator, you'll play a critical role in keeping our facilities running safely and efficiently. In this role, you will:

• Operate and monitor treatment equipment including pumps, motors, valves, belt presses, and disinfection systems
• Perform routine process checks, sampling, and basic lab testing to ensure compliance and performance
• Conduct preventive maintenance and assist with repairs on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
• Track and document plant performance, including flows, chemical usage, and system data
• Respond to after-hours calls and emergency situations to keep operations running smoothly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure facility environment
• Support customer service needs as required

What You Bring
We're looking for someone dependable, safety-focused, and eager to learn.
Key qualifications:

• Willingness and ability to obtain water/wastewater certification
• Basic knowledge of maintenance, process control, or mechanical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of safety practices and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous water/wastewater experience is a plus—but not required

What You Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
• Operator certification (or ability to obtain based on role and location)
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, internet use)

Work Environment & Schedule

• Willingness to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations
  Active, hands-on role requiring:
• Lifting up to 50-60 lbs
• Climbing stairs and ladders
• Working in confined spaces and outdoor conditions
