Position Overview
ONEX Construction-Industrial Contractors is seeking an experienced Jobsite Foreman to lead field crews in the safe, efficient, and high-quality installation of pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) on industrial construction sites. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of PEMB systems, and the ability to coordinate multiple crews performing steel erection, sheeting & trim installation, and insulation system installation.
The Foreman will be responsible for daily planning, crew direction, quality control, and maintaining ONEX's high standards for safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities •
Lead and supervise field crews performing PEMB erection, sheeting, trim, and insulation system installation.
Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, equipment, and material needs. Interpret construction drawings, erection plans, and manufacturer details to ensure accurate installation.
Oversee steel erection sequencing, bolt-up, alignment, and structural safety practices.
Manage sheeting and trim crews, ensuring proper fastening, weather-tightness, and finish quality.
Direct installation of insulation systems for pre-engineered buildings, including vapor barriers, banding, and liner systems.
Conduct daily safety meetings, enforce ONEX safety policies, and maintain a clean, organized jobsite.
Communicate progress, issues, and needs with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager.
Verify work quality, inspect completed tasks, and ensure compliance with specifications and manufacturer requirements.
Track crew hours, productivity, and material usage.
Support a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications •
Minimum 5+ years of experience in pre-engineered metal building erection. Proven experience leading crews of 5 to 25 workers on deadline-driven industrial construction sites.
Strong working knowledge of:
О PEMB steel erection
Sheeting and trim installation
Insulation systems for pre-engineered buildings
Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, erection plans, and manufacturer details.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to direct multiple
crews.
Commitment to safety and familiarity with OSHA standards.
Ability to operate aerial lifts, telehandlers, and other construction equipment (certifications preferred).
Must be able to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
Travel to various project site locations. (within United States) •
Valid driver's license. •
Familiarity with major PEMB manufacturers (Ceco, Nucor, Butler, Metallic, Star, etc.).
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
