What's the role?

The Quality Control and Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of equipment and processes within the manufacturing and laboratory environments. This role involves a variety of tasks including equipment setup, calibration, maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols.

Here's what you'll do:

Equipment Setup and Maintenance:
  • Set up and maintain various equipment including tent air systems, flow meters, polishing machines, and welding benches.
  • Install, test, and maintain air hoses, regulators, and other pneumatic systems.
  • Ensure proper functioning of clean room equipment, including HEPA filters and dehumidifiers.


Quality Control:
  • Conduct quality checks on instruments and equipment, including calibration of tools and fixtures.
  • Maintain calibration logs and documentation for all equipment.
  • Evaluate and test equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.


Safety and Compliance:
  • Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment, including AEDs, fire extinguishers, and emergency exit signs.
  • Ensure proper labeling and signage for safety protocols and evacuation routes.
  • Manage the retirement and disposal of outdated or non-compliant equipment.


Inventory and Supplies Management:
  • Order and manage supplies, including calibration materials, cleaning supplies, and safety gear.
  • Organize and maintain storage areas, ensuring that tools and materials are easily accessible and properly labeled.


Training and Documentation:
  • Assist in training staff on equipment use, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and safety inspections.


General Maintenance:
  • Perform general maintenance tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and repairing equipment and workspaces.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.


Do you qualify?
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance, quality control, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and quality assurance practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
