Machinist - Level 5

Job Description

As a Machinist - Level 5 here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in manufacturing precision components by operating and programming advanced machine tools. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality parts that meet stringent aerospace standards, directly contributing to the success of our manufacturing operations.

You will report directly to our Machine Shop Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the quality and efficiency of aerospace component manufacturing, supporting Honeywell Aerospace’s commitment to innovation and excellence in aviation technology.



Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machine tools to produce precision aerospace parts according to specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining processes.
• Perform quality inspections and measurements to verify part conformity and maintain production standards.

Qualifications
The annual base salary range for this position is $77,200 - $116,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE
• Proven experience in precision machining within aerospace or related manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming, setup, and operation, as well as manual machining techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality control.
• 5 years of experience in a fast pace machine shop environment
