Field Service Technician - Maintenance

Job Description

The Field Service Technician performs various maintenance duties and handles service requests for two multi-family residential communities in Sanford and Oviedo, FL. Must be able to communicate effectively with community team members and provide outstanding customer service.

General Accountabilities:

  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance across multiple units
  • Diagnose and repair problems with HVAC and water systems
  • Painting  
  • Plumbing maintenance and repair 
  • Pressure washing
  • Electrical maintenance and repair (i.e. light bulb change, smoke detectors, light fixtures, ceiling fans, etc.) 
  • Perform move-in/out and semi-annual inspections alongside Property Manager
  • Preventative or seasonal maintenance 
  • Orders parts, supplies, or equipment
  • Performs general cleaning duties of properties which may include junk removal
  • Records type and cost of maintenance or repair work
  • Computer competency is required to complete work orders

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience and skilled across different maintenance trades
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 3+ years of related experience 
  • Licensed driver and vehicle

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to climb stairs 
  • Ability to travel up and down a ladder
  • May be required to lift up to 85 lbs
  • Must be able to operate, if necessary, small machinery (i.e. Mower, weed-wacker, etc.)
