ARRT registry certification in an imaging modality is preferred.
Job Description Summary
The University of South Alabama’s department of Radiological Sciences is seeking to hire a Radiologic Teaching Technologist. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Supervises radiologic technology students in the clinical setting.
  • Observes and evaluates the clinical performance of radiologic technology students.
  • Ensures students utilize appropriate exposure factors to ensure quality radiographic images demonstrating correct contrast, density/brightness, magnification, and distortion.
  • Ensures safe radiographic measures compatible with ALARA are followed.
  • Ensures safe patient handling techniques are followed.
  • Provides input to student’s clinical grades.
  • Serves on the department’s admission committee.
  • Travels to various clinics as needed.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
  • Related duties as required.
