Position Summary:An Outreach Coordinator connects an organization with the community to enhance its public image and mission. Responsibilities include assisting with planning events, building partnerships, developing marketing materials, and managing outreach activities such as tabling at conferences. They often act as the primary voice for the organization, requiring strong communication, and event coordination skills.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree -OR- equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.

• (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
• Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
• Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in community engagement, public relations, or marketing.
- Skills: Exceptional verbal/written communication, interpersonal skills, and project coordination capabilities.
- Flexibility: Ability to work some evenings and weekends for community events.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and pull heavy items.

- Outreach Coordination & Execution: Planning, promoting, and executing community events, workshops, and exhibitions. Collecting data and information on events and venues that increase the FCN's outreach impact. Developing brochures and other marketing material for outreach impact.
- Relationship Management: Maintaining relationships with communities of interest and stakeholders.
- Manage Outreach Logistics: Organizing and maintaining promotional item supplies, managing promotional item inventory database, and preparing promotional items for outreach events. Maintaining a calendar for outreach events.
- Data Tracking & Reporting: Monitoring the effectiveness of outreach campaigns, managing outreach database, and presenting reports to management.
- Administrative Duties: Recruiting, training, and coordinating staff for events. Performing administrative duties, such as overseeing mailings, organizing travel, monitoring budget information, and reporting on financial issues.
- Travel Expectations: This position includes regular in‑state travel, expected to occur approximately twice per month during most of the year, with increased travel demands during the spring and fall. Limited out‑of‑state travel is also expected a few times per year.
- This position may require prolonged standing and walking, setting up and dismantling booths or materials, and the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds. These physical requirements are considered essential functions of the role.
