Manufacturing Engineer I

Job Description

You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation Engines by designing, testing and validating products/processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. You will interact with internal and external customers in order to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Translate engineering drawings into manufacturing processes and work instructions
  • Support machinist with troubleshooting and process improvements
  • Participate in tooling and fixture design
  • Collaborate with design, quality, and suppliers to ensure manufacturability
  • Support prototype and R&D builds from concepts through production

  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures
  • Analyze test results and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Basic CAD/CAM experience with Siemens NX or similar.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Exposure to machine shop environment (mills, lathes, EDM, grinding)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work hands-on

WE VALUE
  • Experience with tooling or fixture design
  • CNC programming experience
  • Ability to create work instructions from drawings and BOMs
  • Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • Experience with estimating or process planning
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and documentation
