Position Summary
Sunnyvale Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep, safety, and overall appearance of our post‑acute care facility. This role is essential to ensuring a comfortable and well‑maintained environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance and repair of the facility, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks and respond promptly to maintenance requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and equipment
- Support groundskeeping and exterior maintenance as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and infection control policies
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Maintenance Director
- Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and minor renovations
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred (healthcare or senior living a plus)
- Basic knowledge of building systems and hand tools
- Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical tasks as required
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented
- Must be able to pass background screening per facility requirements
