Senior Program Manager E&PS, Power Systems

Join a team of development program management professionals to lead Honeywell's development programs within the Engines & Power Systems (E&PS) Strategic Business Group (SBG). You will work directly under the supervision of the Senior Program Director for Power Systems programs. As a Senior Program Manager, you will be expected to execute development programs of significant size and complexity. This involves achieving scope, schedule, cost, delivery, and quality requirements while showcasing mastery in program management skills. A thorough understanding of various workstreams, including functions and Centers of Excellence (COEs), is essential for this role. You will manage and lead complex, global development programs that may span multiple major domestic and international locations. These programs require the coordination of technology development and production across different sites. Your responsibilities include defining, generating, and implementing program plans, as well as ensuring the on-time delivery of milestones for both customers and internal stakeholders.


Responsibilities
  • Initial assignments will include Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Reliability, Maintenance and Update (RMU) programs.
  • Generate, implement program plans and business requirements within approved budget and schedule constraints
  • Define and implement the program-level Management Operating System (MOS)
  • Adhere to Honeywell Integrated Product Delivery and Support (IPDS) processes and Phase Gate rigor
  • Employ program management tools and development processes, including statement-of-work (SOW), work-breakdown- structure (WBS), basis-of-estimate (BOE) management, scope / requirements management, scheduling, and cost management
  • Execute on scope, schedule, cost, delivery, and quality requirements demonstrating program management skills in the following areas:
    o Scheduling, including resource-loading and critical path analysis
    o SOW-thru-WBS-thru-BOE-thru-resourced Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
    o Earned Value Management
    o Financial/budget management
    o Identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks before they become issues.
    o Executive-level reporting, reviews, and communications
    o WBS Work Package-level metric management, including CPI/SPI/EAC
    o Set high performance expectations for your team and remove roadblocks to allow team to execute
  • Partner with key functions like Product Management, Project Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, ISC Engineering (AME), APQP, Aero PMO, Customer & Product Support, and other representation to understand, define, prioritize, status, and deliver upon requirements
  • Coordinate with Customer Business Teams and/or GBE to ensure their application programs are supported for technical performance, schedule, and cost requirements
  • Facilitate forecasting and capacity analysis related to delivery requirements
  • Establish and maintain the channels of communication to assure timely management awareness of program progress and issues
  • Present programmatic details, requirements, actions status to leadership, technical, and functional audiences


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • At least 8 years’ relevant program or project management experience and expertise within technical or business field
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and associated tools
  • Strong leadership, executive-level communication, and people management skills
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
