Equifax is looking for a driven, detail-oriented
Product Owner to join our Commercial Product team. In this role, you will become a subject matter expert on the data assets that power our commercial solutions. You will sit at the intersection of strategy and execution, transforming high-level visions into actionable backlogs that deliver tangible business value.
The ideal candidate is a fast learner with a "hunger" for data, capable of navigating complex technical landscapes while maintaining crystal-clear communication with stakeholders across the organization.
What you'll do
- Translate Vision to Execution: Act as the bridge between Product Management and Engineering, turning high-level requirements into detailed user stories and well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Data Subject Matter Expertise: Deep-dive into Equifax Commercial data structures to understand how they drive product functionality and customer insights.
- Backlog Management: Own, prioritize, and groom the product backlog to ensure the engineering team is always working on the highest-value features.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Tech, Analytics, Sales, and Finance stakeholders to align on delivery timelines and product roadmaps.
- Drive Outcomes: Ensure high-quality product execution by participating in Agile ceremonies and validating that delivered features meet business needs.
What experience you'll need
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Product Foundational Skills: 1-5 years of experience in product management, relevant internships, or project-based coursework.
- Agile Proficiency: A solid foundational understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Data Literacy: General understanding of data structures and analytics; experience within financial services is highly preferred.
- Cloud Readiness: Current Cloud certification or the ability and willingness to attain one upon hire.
What will set you apart
- Analytical Mindset: You don't just look at data; you look for the "why" behind it and how it can solve specific commercial business problems.
- Exceptional Communication: The ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Proactive Ownership: A self-starter attitude with a proven track record of taking initiative in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Technical Curiosity: A genuine interest in how cloud technologies and modern data architecture can optimize product performance.
