Job Description Summary

The Global Sales Specialist is a mid-level, customer-facing role responsible for managing portions of global accounts while supporting Global Account Managers and Global Account Directors in driving revenue growth. This role blends proactive sales development with operational execution, serving as both an account owner for select business and a critical support partner across the broader global sales portfolio.

The Global Sales Specialist is highly engaged with clients, actively pursues new and existing business opportunities, and ensures timely follow-up on all leads to maximize conversion. This role also owns performance tracking, maintains data integrity across systems, and supports end-to-end sales processes from lead generation through contract execution.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Client Engagement
  • Manage and grow assigned portions of global accounts, maintaining strong, client-facing relationships
  • Serve as a primary contact for day-to-day client needs, ensuring responsiveness and high service levels
  • Proactively pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts and targeted segments
  • Conduct regular outreach to clients to drive engagement, identify opportunities, and close business
  • Participate in sales calls, client presentations, trade shows, and industry events


Lead Management & Sales Execution
  • Monitor lead activity daily, ensuring timely follow-up on all new, pending, and stalled opportunities
  • Proactively pursue leads with no or delayed responses to drive conversion and close business
  • Partner with Global Account Managers/Directors and property Sales Managers to develop proposals and respond to RFPs
  • Coordinate with Group RFP and Group Direct teams to ensure all leads are properly sourced and entered into SSP
  • Prepare, review, and modify sales agreements and proposals as required
  • Maintain ownership of smaller revenue targets and contribute to overall team quota attainment


Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Track and report on individual and account-level performance, including end-of-month production and reconciliation
  • Generate and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports using SSP, Tableau, and Salesforce
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting support, and data integrity across all systems
  • Assist with commission tracking, folio requests, rate loading and account performance insights


Sales Support & Coordination
  • Support Global Account Managers and Directors with account strategy execution and client deliverables
  • Create and update client profiles, bookings, and account activity within Salesforce and SSP
  • Develop and update client-facing presentations and sales materials
  • Assist with trade show follow-up, client communications, and sales campaigns
  • Coordinate FAM trips and collaborate with hotel property sales teams to ensure seamless execution


Operational Excellence
  • Ensure all leads, accounts, and bookings are accurately tracked and managed within internal systems
  • Assist with process improvements to enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, global sales environment
  • Provide additional support to the Global Sales team as needed

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • 3-6+ years of experience in hospitality sales, account management, or sales coordination
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and drive revenue growth
  • Experience working with CRM and sales systems (Salesforce, Delphi, Tableau, SSP preferred)
  • Strong understanding of RFP processes, sales cycles, and contract management


Additional Job Information/Anticipated

Pay Range

Pay Range $60,000 - $75,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific/overall experience.
