Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Construction Project Manager for our Anchorage, Alaska office. The best candidate will have at least 4 years of "Owner's Representative" construction project management experience working in the Alaskan construction industry and has a network with suppliers, clients, and vendors.

This is a busy role, so we are seeking a Project Manager who is comfortable handling multiple complex construction projects simultaneously and can maintain and ensure positive relationships with client stakeholders and related industry teams.

The candidate should expect 35% travel within the state to visit project sites and clients.

Role accountabilities:
  • Knowledgeable of the construction project management process related to a wide range of industrial, commerical and institutional projects in Alaska. Has had the opportunity to lead smaller construction projects as well
  • Experienced in working with industry-related vendors and suppliers
  • Assist and contribute to the project process to ensure the Owner's needs are met. Candidates should have experience working with senior project leadership or program leadership fulling tasks and other functions related to client project requirements. Project experience should include being part of an Owner's Representative Team
  • Provide on-site construction QA when necessary to ensure the project is being constructed per the design and specifications
  • Demonstrate and provide problem-solving skills and reach out to internal senior teams when required
  • Review contractor-submitted schedules, provide feedback to the Owner on construction progress, and make corrective action recommendations to the senior project management team or program managment
  • Be an active, positive team member who can build positive relationships within internal and external teams
  • Provide effective communication (oral and written) to all levels of professionals, including internal and external teams and stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience:
  • 4 or more years of construction Project Manager experience in the Alaskan construction industry in an "Owner Representative" role
  • Able to work on and oversee multiple projects across the State of Alaska. The successful candidate will be required to go to project sites
  • Professional accreditation in a relevant discipline (Construction Management, Cert. Construction Administrator, Cert. Construction Manager) or related project experience
  • Strong technical skills related to project software
  • Ability to obtain access to U.S. Military Installations
  • Commitment to Health and Safety
  • Valid Driver's License

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $120,947. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
