The Cross Cutting Manager will support the Space Program located at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. Will serve as a recognized authority in Safety and Mission Assurance (SMA) operations, providing leadership and oversight across multiple functional disciplines. This role interfaces closely with SMA Points of Contact (POCs), management, and customers to define requirements, develop solutions, and ensure compliance with applicable standards, processes, and contractual obligations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the SMA IT Manager, Organizational Computer Security Official (OCSO), and Organizational IT Manager in the execution of IT, security, and compliance responsibilities.
- Supervise and lead a multidisciplinary team with varying expertise, including IT professionals, ISO 9001 personnel, Property Management staff, and Document Technicians.
- Ensure familiarity with governing requirements, policies, and procedures applicable to supported operations.
- Provide contract-level expertise related to the control, protection, and handling of sensitive information.
- Maintain working knowledge of supported SMA applications and tools, and support requirements definition, validation, and testing activities.
- Lead task order execution, including task order processes, estimation, manpower planning, and cost tracking.
- Interface directly with customers to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure deliverables meet expectations.
- Promote continuous improvement, compliance, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, business or related field.
- Must have 10+ years of recent and related work experience.
- In lieu of degree: Candidates with 14+ years of recent and related work experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated experience in SMA operations and supporting software applications/processes.
- Experience working in a matrixed or cross-functional management.
- Working knowledge of IT systems, information security, ISO 9001 requirements, and property management principles.
- Experience with task order management, cost tracking, and manpower planning.
- Strong communication and customer interface skills.
- Familiarity with contractual requirements related to sensitive information control.
DESIRED:
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience supporting government or NASA-related programs.
WORK LOCATION:
- This position is located onsite; some travel may be required.
- Schedules are subject to change based on the requirements of the position and/or customer needs.
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:

- Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.

- Must be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
- Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
- Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
