What does a Bank Operations Representative do? 

Bank Operations Representatives play a crucial role in the bank’s mission to fortify healthy financial lives by supporting a wide array of processes including the daily administration of customer money flow via Wire, ACH, Check, and Debit/ATM Card channels; maintain daily oversight of disputed transactions via these transaction channels; provide user access and maintenance support for customer Online Banking accounts; legal request response related to Subpoenas and other authorized information requests; account maintenance and fund remittance associated with IRS Levies and Legal Restraints; oversight and administration of customer contact information in various systems; maintaining the incoming and outgoing mail and parcels from the bank’s corporate headquarters; and other duties that support the operational safety, soundness, and efficiency of the bank.

What is needed to be successful in this role?

  • A high school diploma or high school equivalency preferred.One year customer service experience, prior Financial Industry experience strongly preferred. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. A strong attention to detail.An ability to maintain exceptional agility in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment. Strong PC skills necessary to leverage general marketplace programs (such as Microsoft Office) and financial industry specific programs.Strong customer service experience. 

What does a successful first year in this position look like? 

Initial department assignment will be on the Wires and Electronic Access Team, which is responsible for the following core functions:

  1. Support all aspects of the back office domestic and international wire transfer function. This includes but is not limited to oversight and reconcilement of all daily incoming and outgoing transactions; monitoring transactions for OFAC, BSA, and Fraud compliance; and providing wire troubleshooting support for the organization which includes service messaging through the FED and SWIFT networks.Support maintenance functions within the Online Banking (Q2) system. This includes but is not limited to commercial customer user enrollments, adding & deleting accounts from online profiles, acting on and responding to customer communication sent through online banking secure message.Conduct various tasks related to the bank’s Debit and ATM card programs. This includes but is not limited to a specific focus on high impact card order scenarios such as requests for expedited delivery or replacement of compromised cards, tasks related to the administration of the bank’s premium debit card program, and oversight of card order exceptions.Conduct oversight and maintenance of all Debit/ATM card transaction disputes. This includes but is not limited to reviewing accounts for fee waivers, reconciling internal GLs for oversight of provisional and final account credit, and conducting investigations on disputed ATM Card and aged Debit Card transactions.Supports the oversight of the bank’s ATM network through the daily reconcilement of all ATM terminals and coordinating with IT, Retail, and the bank’s Armored Car Service to resolve any discrepancies.Over time, individuals in this role will be exposed to other core functions of the department, which may include but is not limited to ACH processing, Check processing, Legal Research processing, Administration and Maintenance of customer contact information, and various other duties that support sound operational controls for the organization.

Compensation 

The compensation range for this position is $18.00 -$20.00 per hour. The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
