*Job Summary*
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Therapist-LCSW to join our mental health services at Life Opportunities Behavioral Health Services. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychotherapy, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations. This role involves working with a 60/40 split for compensation, seeing about 25-35 clients weekly. This will be across various settings, including outpatient clinics, community outreach, and hospital environments. The Clinical Therapist-LCSW will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based interventions to improve mental health outcomes and support patients through crisis management and ongoing case management.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake interviews, diagnostic evaluations, and mental health screenings using EMR systems.
* Provide individual, group, and family therapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral health interventions, and applied behavior analysis.
* Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical research standards and adhere to HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and patient confidentiality.
* Implement specialized care strategies for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, Alzheimer's disease, geriatrics, and other chronic conditions.
* Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster patient engagement and facilitate behavioral change.
* Manage crisis intervention situations effectively while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for case management and social work support.
* Maintain accurate medical records using ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems and CPT coding for billing purposes.
* Collaborate with healthcare providers on medication management related to psychopharmacology when applicable.
* Participate in ongoing professional development activities related to clinical research, new therapeutic approaches, and emerging best practices in mental health care.
*Requirements*
* Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
* Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, and working with children or geriatrics.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and electronic medical records (EMR systems).
* Experience working with diverse populations such as individuals with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, PTSD, Alzheimer's disease, or other chronic conditions.
* Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver effective clinical counseling across individual and group settings.
* Familiarity with crisis management protocols and crisis intervention strategies.
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations concerning patient privacy and medical documentation standards.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience in home & community care settings is preferred; hospital experience is a plus.
