Occupational Therapist Compensation Range: $54/hour - $62/hour Location: Troy, NY & Albany, NY Position Summary An Occupational Therapist is needed to support children who are in the Troy, NY area through 30 minute sessions conducted in the family home. The OT would be compensated for 60 minutes of work for these 30 minute sessions. Each of the students are elementary school age. Responsibilities Schedule / Shift:
Shift details: 30 minutes each - Flexible (can be evening or weekends)
Hours per week: 6 hours per week
Contract length: October 26, 2026 to June 25, 2027
Key Duties
Deliver in-person OT services, focusing on supporting and empowering students who have been in the home and have been unable to attend school in-person.
Maintain accurate records on all children assigned to the program.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
Requirements Licenses & Certifications
Must hold an active New York Occupational Therapist license
Experience:
Previous experience in school settings or working with children is preferred.
Skills:
Effective communication abilities for working with students, educators, and families.
Flexibility and a proactive attitude
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
Ability to interact with staff and the public is required.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work as a team member at all times
Ability to perform all duties with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
