Position Summary The Mechanical Bind Operator 3 supports the Packaging and Fulfillment team by performing hands-on mechanical bind operations, assisting with daily make-readies, operating mechanical equipment, and inspecting book quality. This role contributes to on-time production by aligning with daily schedules, maintaining a safe and organized work area, and performing basic preventive maintenance and housekeeping. The position requires reliability, attention to detail, and effective communication to collaborate with supervisors, team members, and cross-functional partners. This is a rotating-shift role that provides on-the-job training and opportunities for growth within the company.
As a
Mechanical Bind Operator 3, you will:
- Runs the Womako Spiral Equipment
- Assist with daily Mechanical Bind operations, including making readies, operating mechanical equipment, and inspecting mechanical book quality.
- Support production schedules to help keep projects on track.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment (PPE provided; safety training as required).
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and housekeeping (tool organization, housekeeping, equipment checks).
- Previous Bindery Operator Experience preferred
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in learning mechanical processes.
- Strong work ethic, safety awareness, and the ability to work well in a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Reliability and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading and speaking).
- Willingness to learn, contribute, and grow.
- Ability to work flexible shifts as needed.
