This remote position is based in VA, GA or NJ.

Summary:
The Materials Planning Specialist is a results-driven team member responsible for coordinating daily customer supplies transportation and logistics activities to ensure timely, accurate, and cost effective fulfillment. Facilitate the creation of customer supply orders, coordinates directly with carriers, and maintains supply scheduling systems including RR49 and OTM. Collaborates effectively with cross functional teams to support demand fluctuations, optimize planning processes, and proactively prevent supply shortages.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generate and manage customer supply orders to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
• Coordinate daily transportation and logistics activities with carriers to support efficient supply movement.
• Maintain and update supply scheduling systems, including RR49 and OTM, to ensure accurate planning and visibility.
• Partner with cross functional teams to support demand spikes, operational changes, and process improvements.
• Monitor inventory and supply levels to proactively identify gaps and prevent shortages.
• Troubleshoot order, carrier, or scheduling issues to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in logistics, transportation, or operations experience preferred.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications; experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), such as OTM, preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including irregular hours, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Professional demeanor with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
• Regular sitting at workstation for 75-100% of the work shift.

Annual Salary of $50,205-$66,700 (VA/GA); $54,675-$72,900 (NJ). This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include but are not limited to your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
