This position is for the Division of General Academic Pediatrics (GAP) within the Department of Pediatrics.
The successful candidate will support clinical research and clinical trials in a busy pediatric clinical setting in Oakland, with multiple studies focused on access to pediatric healthcare, the use of cutting-edge technology in pediatric primary care (telemedicine, e-visits, e-consults, artificial intelligence), and equity in pediatric primary care delivery. Candidates with bilingual English-Spanish skills are strongly preferred.
The incumbent will assist with recruitment and consent, data collection, electronic health record review, participant retention, data management, and data analysis. Data collection may include surveys, phone calls, qualitative participant interviews, and interview transcription. Data management may include maintaining password protected files with participant data and recruitment platforms (RedCap, Pitt+Me). Data analysis would include qualitative coding and thematic analysis (training will be provided) and development of dissemination tools such as infographics and posters.
If travel is required for the position, and if the incumbent is not utilizing public transportation, a valid driver’s license is required. It is the expectation that the incumbent will use their own vehicle required for local travel and the owner of the vehicle must carry automobile liability insurance. The owner’s automobile liability insurance coverage is primary coverage. The University’s automobile liability insurance policy provides excess coverage only.
Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required prior to the start of employment.
