Ridgefield Aquatic Club (RAC) is a private, nonprofit, year-round USA Swimming club in Ridgefield, Connecticut. RAC serves swimmers from pre-competitive development through national-level training. Our coaching approach emphasizes long-term athlete development, technical excellence, character, confidence, inclusion and a positive team experience.

Job Description
RAC is seeking a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach to design, deliver and evaluate age-appropriate dryland and strength programs for competitive swimmers.

The program will focus on improving athletic performance, reducing injury risk and developing lifelong movement skills. Responsibilities include designing seasonal training plans, coaching movement quality, mobility, stability, strength, power, speed and conditioning, evaluating athlete readiness, documenting progress and maintaining safe training areas.

The coach will collaborate with the Head Coach/CEO and squad leads to coordinate training loads, competition preparation and athlete needs.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, exercise science, strength and conditioning or a closely related field. A current CSCS credential or another relevant NCCA-accredited credential is required. Applicants must also have current CPR/AED and first-aid certification and experience working with middle-school and high-school athletes.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $32–$35 per hour
  • Approximately 40 hours per month for 11 months
  • Maximum of 440 hours annually
  • Performance-bonus eligibility of up to $2,000
  • Reimbursement for approved professional development and required certifications

  • Barlow Mountain Pool
  • Steel Fitness in Ridgefield
  • Other approved RAC training facilities
