Essential Functions
These are the job duties required of the position.
| Essential Functions | - Takes verbal and written order from the physician and responds accordingly.
- Conducts initial intake to include taking vital signs, height and weight.
- Pulls and accesses charts for completeness adn documents in Electronic Medical Record.
- Prepares, cleans, and stocks exam rooms.
- Places patients in exam rooms and assists with lifting as required.
- Transports specimens to lab and conducts routine lab tests.
- Assists patients in wheelchairs are required.
- Performs EKG, draws blood samples, and obtains blood cultures.
- Provides backup to front desk staff.
- Checks demographic information, prepares charts, answers and directs phone calls.
- Maintains medical records, immunizations records, and other files.
- Communicates and uses appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients, and family.
- Responds to pages and maintains accurate and complete records.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
- Related duties as required.
