Job Description
Health Advocates Network, Inc. seeks a PET Tech to support high-quality diagnostic imaging across partner hospitals and clinics. In this role, you will prepare and position patients/animals for PET procedures, assist clinicians and technologists during imaging, and help maintain imaging and monitoring equipment. You will collect specimens, record vital signs, and accurately document care in EMR systems. The PET Tech upholds strict radiation safety and infection control protocols while collaborating with a mission-driven, people-focused team dedicated to improving patient care nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients/animals for PET imaging procedures following safety protocols
- Assist clinicians and technologists during diagnostic imaging and related procedures
- Operate and maintain imaging, monitoring, and support equipment per guidelines
- Collect specimens, record vital signs, and document procedures in EMR systems
- Maintain clean, safe exam and treatment areas following infection control standards
- Communicate clearly with clinical staff and clients regarding procedure steps and care instructions
- Follow radiation safety, handling, and disposal procedures as directed
- Support scheduling, patient flow, and coordination with hospital or clinic partners
