This position will work directly with the Chief Compliance Officer.
Responsibilities include: - Assist the Chief Compliance Officer to ascertain that monthly analysis are completed, pulling requested data from database and preparing reports for Quality Improvement and Compliance Committee. Assist Chief Compliance Officer in compiling information for the annual Risk Management Report, Risk Management Plan and applicable Risk Management policies.
- Communicating with staff involved in incident reports (critical and non-serious), investigative reports, administrative reviews and corrective action plans, notifying of due dates, needed items and notifying Risk Manager of non-compliance from staff of requested items.
- Monitor incoming critical and non-serious incident reports on a daily basis, review for accuracy/corrections, consult with Risk Manager and forward reports to DBHDD as designated by DBHDD policy 04-106.
- Reviews and/or submits critical incident reports (CIR).
- Maintain up-to-date database for non-serious and critical incident reports. This includes entering all data that is required to pull reports, entering dates reports are sent to DBHDD, corresponding documentation and requested/due dates for administrative reviews and corrective action plans.
- Monitor/Track external audits and compliance with all CAPs/supporting documentation.
- Monitor/Track medical records data and develop plans to ensure response to requests and purging of records occur in real time and within required timeframes.
- Serve as the individual advocate for HRBH responding to all individual complaints/grievances received and tracking all complaints/grievances agency wide.
- Chair the Individual Rights Committee reviewing all program plans and handbooks that impose restriction on individuals' rights, reviewing all behavioral support plans, reviewing all incidents of seclusion and restraint, and responding to all other trends/issues identified that concern individual rights.
- Serve as the paralegal for the compliance department and review and assist staff in responding to all subpoenas.
