Summary
A heavy equipment/diesel mechanic performs a variety of tasks to maintain, repair, service, and construct heavy equipment. Heavy equipment mechanics may work on a variety of equipment, including: pickup trucks, automobiles, tractors, forklifts, backhoes, drill rigs, pump hoist trucks, cranes, large compressors, and ancillary equipment and machines.
Under the direction of the Shop Manager and Vice President, the Mechanic will perform the day-to-day activities of fueling and mechanics on their assigned duties to ensure that cost-effective equipment servicing and maintenance are performed so that projects can work without being impacted by downtime. Participates in service planning for equipment with the shop manager or VP. Complies with company policies and safety procedures. This position requires experience within the construction industry, ability to prioritize, adapt to changing conditions, communicate clearly and work under pressure. They are responsible for effective coordination with the management team to ensure safety, quality, production and schedule goals are met.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, ensuring the members are safe, ensuring that the service work is well planned out with needed resources, ensuring optimum productivity, and ensuring that the equipment is operational.

Pay Rate: $40-$55/hr
