Physical Requirements
Standing or walking with objects up to 25 lbs; sitting at computer workstation for extended periods; repetitive motion. May be exposed to loud noises, fumes, confined spaces, and/or temperature extremes while in storage warehouse.
Shift
During conventional 7:00 to 4:00 work day, but flexible based on student work/class schedule. Would prefer student work 10 to 20 hrs per week, but can be flexible during the workday.
Job Summary
Surplus Property has a student position immediately available for interested parties. In this position you will be assisting with the day-to-day University surplus property operations. This may include moving and arranging of Surplus Property items that weigh up to 25 lbs., breaking down computers, testing electronics, organizing inventory to offer a retail “like” environment for our internal customers, helping customers, assisting with trash/recycling removal, cleaning (primarily dusting items and sweeping), and possibly filing. The position resides in the Vaughn Warehouse located at 1247 Versailles Road. Other duties as assigned.
