Working closely with Division Chiefs, Product Line Managers, Engineering Officers, Technical Warrant Holders, Certification Agents, and engineering teams, you will manage critical airworthiness data that supports safe, reliable aircraft operations for the HC-27J Spartan, HC-144 Ocean Sentry, HC-130H/J Hercules, MH-60T Jayhawk, and MH-65D/E Dolphin fleets.
What You Will Do
Gather, research, catalog, and maintain critical fleet airworthiness information within the Engineering Services Division Airworthiness Repository and Aviation Technical Information Program (ATIP).
Manage and maintain OEM baseline data, aircraft type certificates, engineering changes, system modifications, and approved aircraft configurations.
Maintain historical records for aircraft structural modifications, significant repairs, service life extensions, and airworthiness decisions.
Track individual aircraft life limits, including flight hours, landing cycles, pressurization cycles, and service life metrics.
Document and maintain service life extension studies and ensure fleet records accurately reflect authorized modifications and structural improvements.
Develop and manage programs that monitor changes in aircraft mission profiles and operational usage.
Analyze flight spectrum data and compare operational usage against OEM design limits to support structural integrity and lifecycle management.
Monitor OEM, Coast Guard, and other military technical directives affecting maintenance, logistics, engineering, configuration management, and sustainment.
Provide technical recommendations regarding engineering changes and airworthiness impacts to Government engineering leadership.
Participate in vendor site visits to evaluate supplier compliance with Coast Guard and OEM airworthiness standards.
Administer certification and recurring training programs for Technical Warrant Holders, Lead Engineers, and Certification Agents.
Support senior leadership with historical data, engineering analysis, and technical briefings supporting fleet airworthiness decisions.
