We are seeking a People Relations Advisor to lead complex, sensitive, and/or high-visibility internal investigations across a large, complex enterprise. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience investigating employment matters—discrimination, harassment, retaliation/whistleblower, and wage & hour concerns—and demonstrates excellence in interviewing, analysis, report writing, and executive-ready communication. Healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred, with the ability to partner across HR, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to drive fair outcomes, mitigate risk, and strengthen our culture of trust and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end investigations: intake, triage, planning, fieldwork, analysis, findings, and closure
- Partner cross-functionally with HRBPs, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders
- Act as a trusted consultant and advisor to HRLs and HRBPs, providing guidance and support to help them drive timely, thorough workplace investigations
- Prepare executive-ready reports and presentations
- Conduct interviews across all levels
- Advise on corrective actions and remediation
- Advise and support on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, misconduct, and workplace concerns
- Identify systemic trends and recommend preventive strategies
- Develop and deliver training on investigation protocols
- Safeguard confidentiality and evidence integrity
- Maintain subject-matter expertise in employment and healthcare regulations
- Influence at the executive level to facilitate decision-making
- Identify and lead cross-functional projects to improve processes, controls, and operational rigor
- Prepare clear, comprehensive, and well-supported investigation reports that accurately document findings, analysis, conclusions, and recommended actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
- 1-3 years conducting internal workplace investigations in a large, multi-site organization (healthcare preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency in interviewing, evidence collection, analysis, and formal report writing
- Strong executive-level communication skills
- Strong analytical judgment and ability to apply policy and law to facts
- Proven ability to handle and effectively prioritize high volume case load
- High integrity, discretion, and accountability
- Cultural competence and an awareness of bias when assessing concerns and conducting investigations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government/regulatory matters in healthcare
- Familiarity with case management tools (e.g., i-Sight, ServiceNow, Workday)
- Certification in workplace investigations training (such as AWI or similar training institute)
- Experience working in a unionized environment and providing guidance on labor relations issues
- Training facilitation experience
Travel
5% or less travel required depending on case location and business needs
