Schedule:                             35 hr/wk, Monday Through Friday, 9am-5pm

The Camden County Library System serves over 330,000 County residents.  Our staff make customer service and community engagement a priority and strive to help communities reach their aspirations through library services. 

 

The Administrative Clerk provides high-level administrative support to the Library Director and other administrative staff.  Responsibilities include managing calendars, scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, maintaining files, gathering and compiling statistical information, and drafting correspondence and reports.  The Administrative Assistant will attend all Library Commission meetings and will prepare meeting agendas, write resolutions, and take meeting minutes. The Administrative Clerk will also serve as coordinator for OPRA requests.

 

The successful candidate will be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, have a high attention to detail, be aligned with the library’s core values, and have a demonstrated ability to discreetly handle confidential information.

 

Education/Certification/Experience/ Requirements:

 

Five (5) years of experience in clerical work.

  

NOTE: Successful completion of a two-year college level course in secretarial science may be substituted for two (2) years of the above experience.

 

LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
