Lead Engineering Technician

Be part of an engineering team that is defining the future of Honeywell Aerospace products. You will work closely with engineering, instrumentation, and test building and supporting development turbine engine builds, generator builds, waterbrake support, and tooling design/applications. You will help coordinate project planning and scheduling, act as a liaison between focal groups, provide input/management to capital projects, and provide data reporting for both internal and external customers.

You will report to the Test Engineering Manager, and work out of our Phoenix Engines site in person.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proficient in Turbine Engine Assembly, Disassembly processes and procedures
  • Expert on at least one centerline
  • Knowledgeable in Multiple Product Lines (Propulsion and APU’s)
  • Exhibit skills to train new engine mechanics and mentor new engineers on assembly/disassembly design considerations and processes
  • Familiar with Development Assembly BRR process
  • Identify and escalate assembly/disassembly design problems
  • Identify and correct engineering instructions or specification issues/errors
  • Focal for procurement of shop supplies presenting justification to leadership and coordinating orders and receipt of goods
  • Maintaining accurate budget and forecasting of department expenses
  • Coordinator for identifying and developing new catalog tooling to increase efficiency in the department


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • A minimum of 8 years of aerospace experience or similar.
  • At least 5 years of mechanical / assembly experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
