The position reports to the Demand Manager for the Defense and Space International businesses. The D&S demand team is responsible for collecting data, collect forecast information from business leads and preparing forecast in support of the Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) process across the CBT’s. This individual is accountable for reviewing all demand streams and aggregating into a single set of requirements, to review and provide input into an unconstrained demand forecast to the integrated supply chain.
This role will be responsible for providing inputs to the Short Range outlook (SRO) by reviewing and understanding: Site build plans (MPS), shipment data, product run rates and the demand plans (though all avenues) for selected Sites; reconciling actual usage to the planned unconstrained demand forecast monthly, and gathering, analyzing and recommending changes to existing plans based on findings.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Improve forecast accuracy by implementing and leading processes to collect data, analyze trends, and prepare forecasts, utilizing appropriate planning tools in support of the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process; work closely with CBT team to ensure commonality in process, data and expectations.
• Team with Site and D&S demand teams to ensure solid development and deployment of a robust process to capture historical data from direct Spares and R&O sites to capture upcoming business initiatives to improve the forecast accuracy and provide the Unconstrained Demand Plan (UDP) to the integrated supply chain.
• Provide direction on forecasting method (market driven, dependent, leading indicators etc.) and factors such as DPAS to include in the forecasting process.
• Document assumptions used and validate throughout SIOP process.
• Assure integration with SIOP process to compare the unconstrained demand forecast with aggregate supply constraints and understand the impact to customer and financial commitments (AOP).
• Measure demand plan v supply plans and determine root cause of gaps or performance to plan and recommend changes/improvements.
• Ensure collaboration between ISC (Sites) and Demand Management (SBU/CBTs) to understand internal and external factors that may impact the forecast.
• Participate in CDP reviews in support of the SIOP Management Operation System (MOS) which includes aggregating the unconstrained demand forecast, comparing supply plan at all the Honeywell sites, and determining course of action to manage both supply and demand.
• Participate and recommend actions to improve Finished Goods Inventory optimization.
• Ability to drive SIOP vision and collaboration into the Site/ CBT extended team
• Strong bias for action-ability to make informed decisions in a complex environment and drive execution via indirect leadership.
• Strong collaboration within SBUs and functions Demand Mgmt., ISC, Finance and CBT’s to ensure common tools & processes are implemented
• Develop collaborative processes to collect data, analyze trends, and create long term product line/Site forecasts.
• High level of interaction with Material Planning and Procurement (MPP), Integrated Supply Chain (ISC), Tools and OEM D&S Demand Specialist, Platform Leaders/Directors, Sales, SBU finance.
Travel up to 10% of the time
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain
• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Demand Planning functions
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English
• 5+ years of experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• US citizenship due to contractual requirements

• SAP knowledge is highly desirable
• Able to be effective in working with a variety of Program Managers and Platform Leaders in balancing customer demands in accordance with established ISC process controls
• Exhibit a broad understanding of ISC concepts and systems and able to successfully identify continuous improvement opportunities within the Supply Chain
• Excellent teaming integration and collaboration skills
